The Altitude Cubs Wrestling Program introduces children in grades 1–5 to the fundamentals of wrestling in a fun, safe, and welcoming environment. Perfect for first-time wrestlers or multi-sport athletes, this program develops confidence, coordination, and a love for movement while building the foundation for future competition.

You can register now for the Cubs Program. Our Session 2 season begins September 2nd and will be held at the Summit High School Wrestling Room. The cost is $100, which includes a t-shirt, instruction, and participation in the end-of-season showcase.

To participate in the Cubs Program, your child will need to complete a medical waiver and provide emergency contact information during registration. Parents may also choose to sign up as volunteers. For practice, athletes should wear a t-shirt and shorts. No singlet or USA Wrestling membership is required, as this program is non-competitive.

Strong Foundations

for Young Athletes

Fundamental Skills & Movement

Young wrestlers learn balance, agility, body control, and basic wrestling positions through games, drills, and age-appropriate challenges.

Introduction to Technique

Athletes are introduced to takedowns, escapes, and simple mat strategies, giving them the building blocks for long-term success.

Fun & Inclusive Environment

Sessions emphasize teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive experiences—helping kids build friendships and confidence on and off the mat.

Mentorship from Older Wrestlers

Cubs benefit from guidance and encouragement from Altitude’s middle and high school athletes, creating a culture of mentorship and growth.

Multi-Sport Friendly

With a focus on movement and body awareness, Cubs training complements other youth sports like soccer, football, gymnastics, and skiing.

REGISTRATION

Sign up now for Session 2 (Sept 2 – Nov 8)! All wrestlers must either register for Session 2 or complete a temporary practice waiver if they’d like to try a practice before committing. Practices are held 2-3 days each week in the Summit High School wrestling room.
